Mid-Term Thesis Skedule

… 11/25 Tue, Mid-Term Presentation: 7mn present + 3mn questions time 6:4.

Just finished my mid-term presentation.
i woke up late at about 10, then practice the slides again.
12:50 started with our lab 5 people, alphabetically as my name is in romaji, i am the last.
9 slides include title one, i felt what i practice was kinda a bit short in actual presentation. Indeed i could add more to speak. Japanese people did could talked a lot cos of their fast talking even in the 6 minutes limit, they had above 20 slides or more. i don’t think i can do like them.
i was nervous explaining, but if we just have confidence those fear will be just gone.
Questions was not hard, but made me realize i should include some other parts of analysis that i hadn’t done or thought to be done.

2 days @ home is boring (Sun no work, Mon: Labor Thanksgiving substitute holiday), cos i have no feelings to do anything. Could not find interesting things to do. i need to practice my mid-term presentation, but till now i have no drive in it/don’t have my heart in it at all.
平日は学校、土日はバイトがあるときは、気分がよいのに。日曜日にバイトがなくなると、特にすることもなく寒さの中で家に閉じこもるだけだはストレスがたまっちゃいます。明日の発表のため、練習しなければならないのに、未だにやる気がおきません。やばいです。どうしようもないですよね。

Submitted the abstract around 13:40.
Practiced presentation @15:30-16:50. Many places to be corrected. About my research, more i felt i only know how to do, but not how to analyze what the course or reason behind those. Yeah i rarely make myself get used to think, even in everyday life. That’s the dangerous points.

Modify the slides, and should practice to fit the 6mn presentation. Though i’m get bored, need to relax for a while

It’s very cold 【冷え込む】 since yesterday, and it’s even more cold riding motor bike. My hands almost freeze. And tonight to early morning the temp will drop to -3°C. It’s gonna be colder than previous years, as it is already getting cold from mid November.

Back to today seminar, there were 3 students of IDEC K-sensei joint. All are doctor students, D1 (Chinese, Korean) and D3 (Chinese), only speak English. K-sensei presented us about his joining Asian Conference on RS in Sri Lanka andD1 students presented their study outline. i could not understand their topics. We 2 also presents ours. My abstract was done just b4 the seminar and handed to my sensei to have a look. After seminar, i stayed till 10pm, the 1st time of the year to stay at lab such late. To correct the abstract that had been reviewed by my sensei and to prepare the slides for tomorrow practice, cos my sensei will be away from Fri. i even hadn’t had dinner until back home.

So tomorrow, will correct the abstract for the 2nd time and hand to the office. Also practice the slides.

Start to arrange and write the script abstract from now. At least need to finish the script abstract by Wed seminar (15:00 – 16:00), then have my sensei take a look before submitted. If possible, slides should be prepared too. Fri finish the slides cos Mon is a holiday.
